When we set out to raise poultry, we wanted to hold ourselves to a quality standard not found in modern factory farming. A big part of that was feeding our flocks the very best that we could. In fact, everything we do is with the health and well-being of our animals in mind. We believe it's important to remember that chickens, ducks and turkeys are not vegetarians. They are omnivores and should be treated as such for the best possible quality meat and eggs. Our birds are raised on green pastures in predator proof tractors. From the time they are big enough to leave the brooders, they have 24 hour access to fresh air and the ability to hunt bugs and worms as their instincts dictate. We supplement those natural hunting tendencies with 100% GMO free, soy-free, corn free, and chemical free cracked whole grain feed.
During our summer season we offer fresh -- never frozen -- poultry at each cycle harvest for 24 hours after delivery from our USDA inspected processor. After 24 hours, all poultry is frozen and kept frozen to preserve it's freshness and quality until it reaches your table.
Farm Fresh, Soy-Free, Pasture Raised Eggs

Our laying hens are spoiled. They have a 1/4 acre pasture all to themselves and a roomy coop to roost in at night to protect them from predators. They hunt to their heart's delight and feast on their favorite ticks, beetles, and flying insects. We supplement their hunting nature with a 100% soy free cracked whole grain feed and the occasional handful of grubs and mealworms for treats. All this natural goodness results in a yolk that is a deep rich sunshine orange. All our eggs are unfertilized as we do not currently have a rooster.

We raise our whole holiday turkeys with the same standards that we have for all of our poultry. We raise our turkeys on green pastures in large predator proof tractors. Fender Family Farms doesn't simply encompass our farm here in Tennessee. Our family's fruit orchard and orange grove in Northern California also afford us the opportunity to bring you a diverse variety of jams, chutneys, jellies, pie fillings, syrups, and butters. We sustainably and locally source any ingredients that are not produced on our farm or our family properties.
